At the time of the establishment of the said Indiane Branch of the Hong Kong Police force the Constables Corporals weed Rergeants members there of were divided into three Larees a First Class borsetables pay boing fixed at $15:50 for month $2 more than that of a second Class Constable and $3 more than that of a Stivid Claes Constable whide a First Claes Corporato pay was fixed at 418 and a First Blues Sergeant at $22:50 Recond and third class Corporals and Second and third class Sergeands receiving. proportionately less.
The pay of your Petitioners has since the same was so fixed as aforesaid in the. year 1867 sever been increased or altered and remains the same to the present day.
In the
year 1867 and for sonce time afterwards the hours of duty for Constables in the Indian Brunch of the Hong "Hong Police Force were eix per day whereas your Petitioners have now to be on duty eight hours each day and are compelled to carry
a carbiice with pouch and amonuiction in the stead of a bunchouse as formerly carried by them.
